The 2019 Rothwell Hyde Proprietary Red boasts lovely sage, thyme and rosemary nuances layered on a ripe bed of mixed berries. Full-bodied and supple, it finishes long and silky. It should be approachable upon release but drink well through 2040, as it possesses ample concentration and plenty of ripe fruit. While not a second wine in the traditional sense, it does incorporate lots that don't end up working in the single-vineyard wines, and it's priced below them. 2023-2040
