A deep ruby in the glass, this has a rich and enticing nose of ripe summer fruits, crunchy cherries and a little sweet spice. The palate bursts through with juicy red and black fruits which are ripe but not at all raisined. Supple, soft tannins give a plush, rounded mouthfeel and allow the fruit to shine through. Succulent and fleshy through to a long and lightly spicy finish, this is a beautifully polished Fleur de Thenac, the best in years and a rival for the fantastic 2009 vintage - perhaps less opulent but much more refined. Drink now, or over the next five to seven years.
