Founded at the beginning of the 20th Century, Domaine Armand Rousseau is one of the most famous, and most consistently excellent, producers in Burgundy (and, indeed, the rest of the world).
Pioneers of estate bottling in the 1930s, and holders of significant parcels of vines in the great vineyards of Burgundy, notably 2.56 hectares of Chambertin, 1.42 hectares of Clos de Bèze and 2.22 hectares of Clos Saint Jacques, the domaine has become synonymous with, and is the very pinnacle of, Gevrey Chambertin.
