Swiss wine has a rich history, but strong domestic demand has seen little need for export from producers in the past. Thankfully the new generation is more outward looking, and we can now offer a selection of the very best wines available.
Skiers may recognise the variety Chasselas which is grown in the French regions of Switzerland, but Pinot Noir is growing greatly in plantings and popularity across Switzerland - with some wines of outstanding quality on offer. Great Syrah is also being produced from what is an extension of the Rhone valley. The best offer an ethereal style similar to Cote Rotie and St Joseph.
