Here we feature Chateau Tirecul-la-Graviere, the most famous of the sweet white wines of Monbazillac, an area of some 2000 hectares surrounding the eponymous village on the left bank of the Dordogne opposite Bergerac.
These luscious, Sauternes-like wines are made predominantly from botrytised Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc grapes but often with the addition of Muscadelle, which distinguishes them from their Sauternes and Barsac neighbours.
