A background hint of wood easily allows the cool and equally pure essence of red currant, plum and violet scents to be appreciated. There is a lovely sense of underlying tension to the tautly muscular flavors that are also shaped by relatively fine-grained tannins on the balanced and lingering finale. This is a Bonnes Mares of refinement and finesse that should age well on a base of balance. (Drink starting 2029)
