Tasting Notes

The 2021 Kutch Wines “Mindego Ridge Vineyard” bottling of pinot noir comes in at an even thirteen percent octane this year and includes fifty percent whole clusters. Like all of Jamie’s pinots, the wine is fermented with indigenous yeasts, raised in neutral French barrels and bottled unfined and unfiltered. The wine delivers a beautiful, black fruity nose of dark berries, black cherries, coffee bean, a fine base of stony soil tones, sweet stem tones, a touch of oak and a smoky topnote. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, focused and complex, with a great core of fruit, tangy acids, ripe tannins, lovely balance and grip and a long, complex and energetic finish. This wine has outstanding backend lift and will be a stellar bottle when it is ready to drink. 2031-2085
