The interesting nose of mint tea, quinine, essence of lemon-lime and brine flirts with volatile acidity. The slightly more elegant middle weight flavors are also dense to the point of being thick while the mouth coating finish is powerful, sappy and solidly persistent. This isn't an elegant example of Vaillons, but it doesn't lack for concentration.
From Roncière, Séchet (75 year old vines) and Epinottes. Fresh mid yellow. Lively nose, close to the stones as ever, very good intensity behind, fruit keeps returning. A coating of velvet on the enamel. This fine Vaillons as maintained the necessary tension alongside the ripeness of the fruit.
