Nuits St Georges les Vaucrains, Domaine Robert Chevillon 2019

Tasting Notes

A brooding and reticent nose possesses moderately deeply pitched aromas of plum and red and black cherry liqueur laced with plenty of spice, earth and humus influences. The broad-shouldered, powerful and overtly muscular flavors coat the palate with sappy dry extract that also serves to buffer the very firm tannic spine shaping the hugely long and remarkably complex finale. As is usually the case, this is no model of refinement, but it is a genuine 'wow' wine, provided you have the wherewithal to cellar it for the 20+ years it's going to need. Even if you don't, it's still a most impressive force of nature! 2036+
