Here too a discreet dollop of wood sets off notes of hazelnut, pear, floral scents and a touch of cool lemon-lime. There is again fine volume and excellent intensity to the mineral-suffused medium-bodied flavors that aren't quite as refined but offer almost as much depth and persistence. Worth checking out.
Pale lemon colour in the glass. Creamy peach and hints of pear interlay with pithy citrus and measured toasted spice. The palate shows the richness of the vintage but packaged together with grip and freshness. Acids and fleshy stone fruit meld together in a moreish and approachable core. Lightly creamy but equally zippy through to the finish, the lingering smokiness complements the style on a long, succulent finish. Drink now or over the next 5-6 years.
