Notes of petrol, citrus, acacia and whiffs of white peach and pear elegantly introduce attractively vibrant flavors that exude a subtle minerality on the appealingly dry but not austere finish. This sleek and moderately complex effort is well-balanced if not particularly dense but even so, it has enough stuffing to reward extended cellaring if desired.
The 2018 Meursault 1er Cru Les Genevrières is showing very well, unwinding in the glass to reveal aromas of pear, waxy citrus rind, wheat toast and honeycomb. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and layered, it's the most complete as well as the most concentrated of these 2018s, with racy acids and fine depth at the core.
