Enormously concentrated, lush and succulent with a cornucopia of exotic fruit and some ,. Still so bright and precise thanks to the minerally acidity that ripples through the super long finish like an echo down an Alpine valley. Drinkable now, but better from 2025.
The 2019 Graacher Himmelreich Auslese (Gold Capsule) offers a concentrated and spicy bouquet with notes of tea and lemon chutney. Round and refined on the palate, this is a highly elegant and salty-piquant Auslese with delicate grip and very fine concentration. It tastes concentrated but not that sweet and enormously piquant and salty. Tasted at the domain in September 2020. Drink 2030-2070.
The 2019er Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Auslese GK is a noble-sweet wine with a multi-layered and deeply complex nose of botrytis with notes of apricot, baked spices, marzipan, honeyed peach, smoke, and even a touch of raisin. The wine proves magnificently creamy and unctuous on the honeyed yet airy palate. Despite all the flavor drama and intensity, the wine manages to shine through finesse and lightness in the hugely long and complex finish. This is a stunning Auslese GK in the making! 2029-2069
