Tasting Notes

This is really sensational as always with dried-apricot, dried-pineapple and honey character with salted nuts and hints of white syrup. It’s very sweet, yet energetic and intense. It goes on for so long. And then again. Yet, it remains balanced. A great sweet wine through and through. Drink or hold.

James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com, August 2020

100% Muscat de Frontignan, harvested berry by berry over a long period from 2nd February through to 20th March for optimal ripeness and character throughout. Pale straw colour in the glass. Superbly fragrant and tropical, with Turkish delight, sultana and cinnamon on the nose. The palate is initially sweet and succulent, bursting with grapey, musky flavours and layers of spice. The acidity is brisk and cuts through the sweetness, giving a moreish and approachable slant. The finish is perfumed, elegant and perfectly poised - this vintage showcases the movement towards freshness and acidity. Long and fine, this can be opened already but has the intensity to drink well for 15+ years.
