This comes from lots of small plots representing half of their three hectares. The same dense purple colour and somewhat backward nose as the Marsannay. This is properly classy on the palate though, dark fruit which has retained freshness, a nice spike of acidity at the back, and good length. Tasted: November 2019
A more elegant and slightly cooler nose reflects notes of elegant red currant, pomegranate and a pretty floral hint. The racy, intense and beautifully well-detailed medium weight flavors exude a refreshing salinity on the mildly tangy and lacy finish. This is very Chambollesque.
