Offering up aromas of cassis, cherries, warm spices and candied peel, the 2018 Moulin-à-Vent Clos de Rochegrès is medium to full-bodied, velvety and multidimensional, with lovely concentration, ripe tannins and bright acids. At this early stage, it might be the most promising wine in the Château des Jacques's 2018 portfolio.
Bursting with red fruit and purple flowers on the nose, this is sweet and enticing. The palate is ripe and succulent, with wild strawberries and juicy red cherries at the core. The tannins are chalky but ripe, soft and integrated into the wines. A plush, soft, seductive style perfect for early drinking.
