Grange des Pères Rouge, Domaine de la Grange des Pères 1998

Tasting Notes

Looks at least five years older than the 1999. Liquorice and scent and very gentle and complex. Very polished. Much more substantial than the 2004. Long and still vigorous. Very gentle and lovely but with a spine too. Still some tannin as well as all that ripe fruit. Very good – even if definitely Languedoc rather than a claret copy, tant mieux.
