Planted in 1992 with 100% Mendoza clones and raised in 100% oak that is at least 5 years old, Block 6 is a North facing site that is warmer than Block 2. This brings a tropical element to the nose on the wine, but the absence of oak spice leaves creamy, buttery fruit richness to the fore, an almost Grand Cru Chablis-like effect. Texturally broad and ripe, the stone and tropical fruits are fleshy but still vibrant. High acidity washes the palate clean and adds a floral passionflower note to the back end. Barrel ageing has rounded out the fruit and leaves a creamy, long finish.
