Their top Syrah, the 2016 La Cumbre, is produced with grapes from the interior, with a touch of the cooler Aconcagua Costa. The hand-picked grapes were sorted, destemmed, crushed and fermented in stainless steel vats; the wine aged for some 22 months in French barriques, 68% of them new. Winemaker Francisco "Pancho" Baettig has been working to reduce the alcohol and the oak, removing the sweet fruit sensation, but it's still a more classical style, more generously oaked, more fruit-forward and slightly riper but without excess. 9,000 bottles were filled in January 2018.
