Tasting Notes

Pure, fresh and floral on the tight and spicy nose, the 2016 Hundsrück Spätburgunder GG is a silky-textured, sweetish, intense and tensioned Pinot. Due to frost, the yields were very low, but the grapes were ripe and they were macerated at 80%. The 2016 is a tight, fresh and concentrated wine but also enormously ripe and slightly drying. Tasted in January 2020. 2023-2035
