Smoky and floral with mango peel and candied oranges, making this an extremely unusual gewurztraminer and an amazing dry white. The long mineral finish gets an extra kick from the generous tannins and ends salty and savory. Better from 2019 but there is absolutely no hurry to drink this! Made from biodynamically grown grapes.
With a medium lemon-gold colour in the glass, this is opulent and rich on the nose, with honey, acacia, white pepper, clove and tropical fruits. The 12 month fermentation means that this wine is in fact dry, which is not expected from the nose. The result is a rich, powerful, full bodied but noticeably dry palate - with a phenolic richness that adds real intrigue. The notes from the nose follow, with warming, round fruits, herbs and honey coming through. This is hedonistic and powerful, with a long, spicy finish.
