The only cuvée that’s bigger than usual in 2016 because these parcels didn’t suffer from frost. Supplemented by a little very hard-hit (frost) St-Aubin parcel. Bottled a week ago.
Stony and uncompromising. Very much PYCM style. Not nearly ready. You might almost take this for a Chablis in structure. Extremely bracing.
A whiff of matchstick character can be discerned on the mostly green apple and citrus-scented nose. There is solid density and richness to the attractively energetic flavors that offer acceptable depth and persistence on the saline finish.
