This is still rather reductive but proves superbly backward in style with white peach, herbs and fine spices wrapping some ravishingly elegant minty herbs. The wine is smooth yet zesty on the palate and leaves a stunningly complex feel in the long finish. As in the 2015 vintage, the von Schubert Estate produced a great auction wine cut along the great lines of its magical Auslese bottlings from the 1990s with plenty of upside if the wine firms up at maturity. This is a must buy for any lover of Grünhaus.
