From 80-year-old vines in Serralunga. And only the fruit from the highest part. Aged for three years in large cask and three years in bottle. Only produced in exceptional years. Savoury and
minerally and complex on the nose, but holding back. Incredible balance between fruit, fine acidity and grainy tannins. Masterly done, this. Drink between 2016-2040
The 2007 Barolo Riserva Bricco Voghera is a stunning interpretation with bold fruit contours and plenty of complexity as you read between the lines. Blackberry and red currant segue to tar, licorice, balsam herb and rosemary sprig. The intensity is bright and vibrant. This is a slightly bigger expression of Nebbiolo and the 2007 vintage offers thicker texture and more richness compared to most other years.
