A pretty and airy nose offers up notes of apple, pear, acacia blossom and both lemon and orange peel scents. There is once again fine volume and intensity to the medium-bodied flavors that possess markedly better complexity on the notably tighter finish that is shaped by moderately firm citrus-tinged acidity.
Note: from several different lieux-dits, 30% of which is from Brélance with major contributions from Les Tremblots and Grands Champs
Drink: 2022+
The 2015 Puligny Montrachet Village represents a step up in terms of complexity this year from the Bourgogne Blanc (occasionally, they can be close in terms of quality, not this year, however). It offers scents of cold limestone, touches of apple peeling and a hint of struck flint. The palate is well balanced with green apple, freshly sliced pear and a touch of salinity towards the elegant finish. It might miss the tension of the 2014, but it should offer plenty of drinking pleasure over the next 4-6 years.
