**Note: as of 2013 this is now composed of 1/3 Les Vigneux and 2/3 declassified fruit from the lower portion of the 1er Aux Brûlées**
There is a hint of herbal tea present on the notably fresh nose of red currant, rose petal and red currant aromas. The agreeably rich and supple medium-bodied flavors possess a velvety mouth feel as well as slightly rough tannins on the cool if slightly edgy finish where a mild hint of bitterness appears. I would be inclined to drink this on the younger side.
There is enough reduction present to mask the underlying fruit and all that can be said is that it seems ripe. This impression of ripeness is reinforced by the very rich and supple medium-bodied flavors that possess a velvety mouth feel as well as pliable tannins on the refined, cool and balanced finish. I like the subtle hint of minerality and this is a Vosne villages of finesse.
