Chambertin Clos de Bèze, Domaine Duroché 2013

Tasting Notes

This is the most reserved wine in the range in 2013 as only determined swirling liberates the beautifully, if discreetly, spiced notes of earth, red currant, floral and sauvage-tinged aromas. The restraint displayed by the nose is present on the palate as well as there is a very cool and reserved quality to the focused, delineated and admirably pure broad-shouldered by refined flavors that possess excellent dry extract that buffers the otherwise firm tannins on the balanced and youthfully austere finish. This powerful but understated Bèze will definitely need time to flesh out though it should be worth the wait. In a word, lovely.
