Tasting Notes

**Note: from the climats of Les Rouges du Bas and Les Quartiers de Nuits aged in 80% new oak**
Moderate wood influence surrounds aromas of black cherry, raspberry, earth and a plethora of spice notes. There is a wonderful inner mouth perfume to the pure and muscular medium weight flavors that possess plenty of dry extract that pushes the firm supporting tannins to the background on the intense and distinctly austere finish. This is quite supple on the mid-palate but will still require 12 to 15 years to realize its full potential.
