The Pavillon Blanc has a very lifted, very pure bouquet with lovely scents of dried pineapple, vanilla, white peach and honeysuckle...nigh irresistible. The palate is medium-bodied with great fruit intensity on the entry: yellow plum, vanilla, custard creams and a touch of guava wrapped up in crisp acidity from start to finish. It is very harmonious towards the finish. Superb. Tasted April 2012.
This is very lively and intense, with wonderful energy and brightness. Full body with wonderful finesse. It goes on for minutes. What an amazing finish. It shows dried mangoes, lemons, apples and pineapples, but so lively and fresh. Fresh honey. Such energy. As always 100 percent sauvignon blanc, and amazing. Best ever. Get it. Drink or hold.
Yields were way down on 2010 for the Sauvignon Blanc crop at Château Margaux, resulting in the best white wine it has made since 2007. Picked in late August to retain freshness, this is rich yet zesty, with flavours of pink grapefruit and melon, a touch of oak and chalky minerality. 3+ years.
Beautiful fragrant purity of fruit, crystal clear, a feminine style of wine with taffeta, lissom texture and length for the future. Drink 2016-2026.
The density and crispiness of this white is fabulous with dried lemons, oranges and mangos. Full body with fabulous acidity that drives to the finish. Mineraly. Turn to white pepper! Lively. Sauvignon Blanc.
