When to drink: 2016 to 2021
54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 42% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot. Bright, lively crimson. Heady oaky nose. This one is trying to sail above the vintage's disadvantages but with quite a bit of tonnelier make-up, I feel. Rather sour fruit.
This offers a good core of plum and cassis notes, with well-integrated toast. A light graphite edge holds the finish. Drink now. 35,200 cases made.
An impressive wine, it already shows signs of its potential. It is elegant, with ripe fruits and layers of dark tannins. As it opens, blackberry fruits come through strongly, balancing the firm structure. Drink from 2018.
