Bright nose with blueberry, violets and vanilla. Crushed blackberries and some sweet licorice. Wonderful layered texture on the palate with velvety tannins and pure dark fruit. Hints of chocolate and new oak comes through on the finish. Give it at least until 2016 to open.
Very dark lustrous crimson. Great freshness and intensity on the nose. Racy and intense and introvert with quite a bit of dryness on the end but overall pretty convincing, especially for the likely price. Black fruits and a bit of liquorice. GV
Toasty and plump, showing plum and black cherry fruit, with roasted vanilla notes.
Jean-Marie Chadronnier's under-rated property is improving with every vintage, the result of increasing vine age as well as better winemaking. The tannins are less evident than in 2009, balanced by sweet-savoury fruit flavours, refreshing acidity and fine, lingering finish. An estate to watch. 10+ years.
Best wine from here ever with wonderful blueberry, vanilla and blackberry aromas and flavors. Full body, with velvety tannins and a long finish.
