Tasted privately with a negotiant. Very ripe, quite oaky nose with crème de cassis and violets. Lacking a little delineation. Full-bodied, ripe saturated tannins, good balance and poise, ripe black cherries, blueberries with a touch of blood oranges. Modern in style, well crafted, approachable and very enjoyable. Excellent. Tasted April 2007.
Cool and mineral on the nose. Sweet red fruit, very crisp acidity but softer tannins than many. Elegant and fresh and a welcome change in this appellation. A Stéphane Derenoncourt wine.
