Farr Vintners, November 2006

Very pale rose-tawny, really incredible sweetness of fruit alongside natural freshness, seems a bit like a light Tawny Port but with additional lifted freshness and finesse, also a touch of orange peel. All this with a purity of vineyard origin and also a dryish finish.

A deep golden colour with good viscosity - big legs that cling to the sides of the glass. Burnt caramel nose with a distinctly Muscat bouquet. There are hints of Dundee Cake and candied sugar. On the palate there is raisiny fruit but balanced, excellent acidity. Long with lingering flavours of dates, dried apricots and honey. Rich but not over-powering, less heavy than most fortified wine (only 16%)." Farr Vintners
