Tasting Notes

A deeply pitched nose of earth, violets, herbs and truffles is now displaying discreet secondary aromas leads to cool, classy and refined middle weight flavors underpinned by a firm minerality that gives both lift and punch to the sparkling finish. There is real energy here and dazzling length and while it's by no means a big wine, it is an admirably harmonious and pure example that is beginning to drink well though for my taste, I would give it a few more years in the cellar first. As to the "greenness" that many '04s display, here it is no more than a trace element and almost seems to add a bit of overall breadth to the nose. In any event, it certainly isn't intrusive.
