Resiny characteristics combined with notions of black cherries, cassis, herbs, and new oak emerge from this deep ruby/purple-colored 2005. Medium to full-bodied, moderately tannic, and impeccably well-made, consumption during its first 10-15 years of life is recommended
Tasted blind. Maturing rim on blackish ruby. Dramatic oaking and a big thick mouthful of dense fruit. Stolid. Pretty chewy end and not much lift. 13.5%
Drink 2017-2030
Aromatic with a rich nose of toast, black plum and cherry, sweet spices and smoke. The palate is packed with rich, spicy black fruits and liquorice. Excellent concentration on this full bodied, hedonistic and plush wine. Long, toasty, ripe finish.
Luscious depth of crimson. Really rather sumptuous and polished. Not too heavy or dry.
