Tasting Notes

The 1982 Suduiraut is the odd man out. In a period when the château languished in the doldrums, the 1982 pulled victory from the unlikeliest growing seasons. The bouquet shades the 1983 and the 1986 with effervescent Japanese yuzu, marmalade and apricot aromas, developing attractive candlewax notes just behind. The palate is well balanced with just a touch of crème brûlée, lime cordial and honey, fanning out gentle towards the well defined finish. One of the unexpected delights from Sauternes in this vintage. 95gm/L residual sugar, 13.6% alcohol, 4.53gm/L acidity. Drink 2019-2029.
