The 1996 d'Angludet is deeply colored, with a ripe, cassis-and blackberry-scented nose, and subtle notions of licorice and melted road tar. There is excellent richness, medium body, and moderate tannin in the jammy, rich finish. This effort should age nicely. Anticipated maturity: now-2015. Last tasted, 1/02.
