The 2020 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Les Goulots unfurls in the glass with aromas of cherries, sweet red berries, licorice and warm spices. Medium to full-bodied, supple and vibrant, with a sweet core of fruit, melting tannins and a mineral finish, it's one 2020 that appears to be more demonstrative than its 2019 counterpart.
Mid red purple, with a sweetness of fruit that suggests correct ripeness. Not the depth of Cherbaudes but nor would I expect it. A racy strawberry/raspberry fruit, fresher with good acidity. Plenty of wine here.
