Here the slightly more restrained nose is compositionally quite similar to the Demoiselles if perhaps just a bit spicier. There is a sophisticated and highly beguiling textured to the broad-shouldered, sappy and palate soaking flavors that flash slightly less minerality though more power on the highly complex, compact and superbly long finish. This should also amply repay 12 to 15 years of keeping.
A compelling effort, the 2021 Montrachet Grand Cru (Maison Louis Jadot) offers up aromas of pear, toasted bread, white flowers, hazelnuts and spices. Full-bodied, rich and fleshy, with a layered core of fruit, racy acids and a long, saline finish, it's impressively seamless and complete.
