The aromas to this are stunning with lavender, rose petals, walnut skin, strawberries and raspberries. Captivating. Full body, layers of polished tannins and perfectly ripe fruit. Dense and very long. Breathtaking classicism. Try in 2021 and onwards.
The 2015 La Fleur-Pétrus has a very intense bouquet of blackberry, raspberry, truffle and smoke, quite decadent and yet retaining satisfying delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with fleshy ripe red fruit, gentle grip with a dash of white pepper toward the persistent finish. This is suave and sophisticated - superb. La Fleur-Petrus 2015 is medium to deep garnet in color. It strides out with confident notes of plum pudding, kirsch, and cigar box plus wafts of spice box and star anise. Full-bodied, the palate delivers mouth-coating, opulent fruit with a firm, chewy texture and a spicy kick on the long finish.
Tasted blind. Mid crimson. Lightly fragrant. Round and chunky. Biscuit spiciness. Quite chewy on the end.

This famous Pomerol property has been run by the Moueix family since the 1950's and produces a wine that is always a classic of the appellation and keenly sought-after. The vineyard is now 18.7 hectares and the 2015 vintage was made from 92% Merlot, 7.5% Cabernet Franc and 0.5% Petit Verdot. Deep ruby colour with a creamy, plush and exotic nose of ripe red cherry and damson. The palate has a silky, velvet tannic texture with a plump fruit core of summer pudding, blackcurrant and sweet vanilla. With no hard edges and great intensity to the finish, this is a superb reflection of Pomerol.
One of the undeniable superstars of the vintage is the 2015 La Fleur Petrus, which is 93% Merlot and 7% Cabernet Franc. This awesome wine builds with time in the glass and shines just as much for its purity and elegance and richness and power. Boasting a deep purple/plum color to go with thrilling notes of tobacco leaf, currants, licorice, and subtle oak, it has a multi-dimensional, layered, elegant, and full-bodied style on the palate that just begs to be drunk. Nevertheless, it needs 5-6 years of cellaring and will keep for 2+ decades. It’s a sensational wine! 2023 - 2043
Rich and ripe plush the nose has a rich mix of black fruits the palate is supple and fleshy sumptuous and sweet. Ripe black plum is underpinned by firm black cherry the back palate has depth of fruit richness and ripeness yet there is a lighter feel on the finish style and elegance. 2026-40
What a wine! Scented, subtle and very fine, this is a poised, nuanced triumph. Deceptively
easy to drink, even now, it has the concentration, acidity and fine-grained tannnins for a long
life. Like the 2014, this is a wine that will taste beautifully at every stage of its development.

The nose is sublime and the length incredible and in between there is concentration and remarkable persistence with
no diversion at all from its course to thrill the palate. The fresh and bright tannins are powerful but in no way drying and
this makes the fruit seem all the more seductive. The minuscule addition of Petit Verdot adds a pinch of seasoning which
makes the wine sing. Captivating and regal, this is a stunning La Fleur-Pétrus.
The 2015 la Fleur-Petrus has tightened up since I tasted it in barrel, now a more linear, very focused, not austere but maybe conservative bouquet that may already be shutting up shop after bottling. But there is purity here and wonderful mineralité. The palate is more open: concentrated blackberry and boysenberry fruit, white pepper, clove and a touch of curry leaf. This has substance in spades, enormous depth with a persistent and satisfying finish. This is destined to be a great la Fleur-Petrus. Anticipated maturity: 2023 - 2050.
The 2015 La Fleur Petrus is a blend of 93% Merlot and 7% Cabernet Franc, having absorbed Château Guillot back in 2012. It has a clean and precise bouquet with ebullient red cherry, blackcurrant and cold stone aromas that are very succinct. There is nothing showy here, but it is very refined and graceful. The palate is very well balanced with succulent ripe tannin, clean and precise, lightly spiced red fruit with outstanding focus and tension on the finish. This La Fleur Petrus has an effortless cool about it. I am sure it will be wondrous once in bottle. Drink 2023-2050.

A blend of 92% Merlot, 7.5% Cabernet Franc and 0.5% Petit Verdot, the 2015 la Fleur-Petrus is a little reticent on the nose to begin, offering up beguiling notes of tilled soil, black olives, charcuterie and dried Provence herbs over a core of preserved plums, black cherries and black raspberries with touches of tar and new leather. Full-bodied, rich, plush and seductive in the mouth, it finishes with persistent, slowly revealing earthy/savory layers, which will keep you reaching for another glass. 2022 - 2045
Notably dark crimson. Very complex and layered (from all those parcels!). Lifted and sweet but not heavy and rich. Even a little light and polished. Fun, but not there yet.
