There is a touch of phenolic character (think olive oil nuances) to the riper and mildly exotic aromas of white and yellow peach, spice and passion fruit. The succulent yet punchy and reasonably well-detailed flavors exude a subtle minerality on the bitter lemon inflected finish that also delivers excellent length. This will need a few years to add depth. Note: from the Clos des Folatières; 4 barrels produced
Derived this year from the Clos de Folatières, the 2019 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Folatières opens in the glass with scents of pear, peach, beeswax and toasted bread. Medium to full-bodied, textural and enveloping, it's bright and precise, with fine depth at the core and good grip on the finish. 2023 - 2043
