Tasting Notes

**Note: from a 1.07 ha parcel of 35+ year old vines**
An overtly spicy nose also features notes of ripe plum, violets and an intense stoniness. There is beautiful energy to the strikingly intense and racy flavors where the underlying structural elements are clearly ripe and while firm, they seem less prominent than they are in reality as there is an abundance of buffering dry extract. While their hallmark austerity is indisputably present, the overall impression is that this is less reserved than it typically is, which should allow it to be approachable after only 6 to 8 years, though it will require all of 12 to 15 years to reach is full peak.
