The 2023 Riesling Graacher Himmelreich Spätlese offers a yeasty aroma with a hint of flint and a slight touch of mint. Open and fragrant with aromas of peachy citrus, as well as a more savoury/herbal fumy note, which is subtle but adds complexity. The 2023s seem to show less of the classic Prüm smoky/flinty reduction. Katharina Prüm suggests this is sometimes the case in a more fruit-forward vintage such as 2023.
