Tasted at the Domaine. A gorgeous Charmes-Chambertin, this has a lovely stony, minerally nose. What I wrote down at the time is: "gravestones in an English country cemetery on a cold December morning." The palate is showing great fruit intensity, wonderful precision and blackberry leaf and raspberry. Fine, precise tannins, supple mouthfeel with cranberry and wild strawberry towards the mineral-driven finish. Edgy, tense and brilliant. Drink 2012-2025+ Tasted November 2008.
