The 2022 Gevrey-Chambertin Village has a lively bouquet of brambly red fruit tinged with sous-bois and redcurrant pastilles. Quite delicate and nicely focused. The fresh palate is relatively spicy on the entry and very well balanced, with a little more intensity on the finish than expected. Yet, it retains wonderful composure.
Aromas of sweet cherries, berries, spices and licorice introduce the 2022 Gevrey-Chambertin Village, a medium to full-bodied, bright and fleshy wine with a lively core of fruit, sweet tannins and a youthfully chalky finish. This lands somewhere between the 2017 and 2019 in style.
