Pungent wood spice and a reserved and subdued nose of black cherry, plum and notable ripe cassis notes highlight rich, full, earthy and moderately robust and muscular full-bodied flavors that culminate in solid power and excellent length. The wood here, while not subtle, is more integrated than with the Grands Ech. Drink: 2011+
