Once again there is ample floral influence to the expressive and equally spicy aromas of pear and pear compote, crushed anise and a hint of citrus confit. There is impressive size, weight and mid-palate concentration to the big-bodied and overtly powerful flavors that display outstanding length on the compact, tightly wound and built-to-age finale. This is a superb Bâtard but it's also a 'buy and forget you own it' wine. (Drink starting 2034)
