Rich in deep black and blue fruit, so concentrated, dense and mouth-coating. Shows how good the 2023 pinots should be. Black cherries, blueberries, raspberry tart and blackcurrants on moderate tannins with lively, vivid acidity. Full-bodied but balanced, with great length and intensity. Drink or hold.
The 2023 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast is what used to be called Cuvée Number 8. It pours a saturated ruby red color and is dark with notes of crushed stones, black raspberries, brambly earth, and hints of pepper spice. Although a full-bodied Pinot Noir, it retains a lightweight feel and has velvety tannins. It has a polished feel with well-managed oak, as well as a good deal of length and saturation through the finish. Drink 2025-2035.
