The 2020 Pinot Noir Sta. Rita Hills Cuvée is a terrific introduction to the range. Crushed red berry fruit, mint, spice, rose petal and a touch of whole cluster savoriness are all beautifully delineated. This is such a gorgeous and expressive Pinot.
Same vineyards as make the regular Chardonnay. One-third whole bunch. 15,000 bottles produced.
Quite deep garnet. Hint of green on the nose. Round and fruity but not sweet. Neat finish. Quite long. Gentle texture. Pretty nice. Light spice but savoury. Drink: 2022-2027.
