The 2025 Riesling Bockenauer Stromberg Grosses Gewächs is chiefly sourced from the oldest vines, which are between 90 and 100 years old, with the rest from vines around 50 years old in the poorest, steepest porphyry site. Superb savor teases with pink grapefruit peel dragged through salt, red sand and crushed yarrow. The palate runs like a marble along a track, unimpeded, smooth, straight, accelerating. Glorious acidity channels pure lemon, stone and salt. Lemon intensity that just lasts and lasts. (Bone-dry)
