Musigny, Domaine Faiveley 2017

Tasting Notes

2017 is the first year to combine the original Faiveley plot and their new purchase. Concentrated purple. There is a slight new oak reduction, toasty, apparently this happens every year and will disappear at the racking. Then a sublime coating of a rich velvet texture, in an oaky envelope, with an immensely long finish, succulent ripe fruit, gorgeous. The parallel between Musigny and Château Margaux pops into my mind.
